directives in GRUB 0.91 so all is not
lost. If I explictly run the splashimage= directive from the grub
prompt and then run configfile file the nice background also comes
up.
This is a really good piece of work GRUB
maintainers - any idea at all when GRUB might enter a 1.00 beta
stage??

Will someone please clear up the issue about
whether Red Hat Linux uses a GRUB configuration file called menu.lst or
grub.conf. I suspect it may be the former as menu.lst appeared
to have different attributes (executable??) than the identical file grub.conf
when installed from scratch.
! BTW changing the
order of the BIOS boot devices from my current floppy, CDROM, HD doesn't help
either - always get the NTldr message - NOT the GRUB menu.
