ed completely in 5.1.0, and etherboot finally got a real
nanosecond timer instead of an uncalibrated delay loop. I'll try and see
whether I can cobble something together, knowing exactly zilch, zero,
nothing about device driver programming.

-enable-pci-direct didn't change this.
