Good news : it works fine !

Install gives no error :

root(pts/4)@emeraude:/boot# grub-install '(hd0)'
Installation finished. No error reported.
This is the contents of the device map /boot/grub/device.map.
Check if this is correct or not. If any of the lines is incorrect,
fix it and re-run the script `grub-install'.

(fd0)   /dev/floppy/0
(hd0)   /dev/ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/disc
root(pts/4)@emeraude:/boot# 

And the machine boot correctly, even when vmlinuz is a symlink.
So that bug can be closed now.
