Hi All,
Serious help required if poss.
We have an IBM Netfinity 5000 RH7.2 Linux box with a RAID5 subsystem.
Walked in Monday morning with no access i.e. one drive (of three) was
defunct and the logical drive was critical.
Reinstalled a new drive, RAID5 rebuilt and now Grub cannot load. It comes
up with Error 25: Disk Read Error - have done some searches and have tried
command lining Grub to no avail. Any pointers or suggestions?
I have typed as per the grub.conf:
root (hd0,0)
kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.4.9-31 ro root=/dev/sda1
However, as soon as I try to access /boot it gives me the Error 25: Disk
Read Error - I can however see other parts of the filesystem through grub
i.e. confgifile /
Any help would be appreciated
