Comparison between lilo and grub

Hello all, I'm not subscribed to this list, so will view through the archives. I've been asked to do a comparison between the two. Although I realize probably that Grub is better for larger hard-drives I don't really have any ammuntion to prove that's it has better features. This is for my bo

bug with mandrake - 9.1RC2

Hi, I have an issue with the last RC release of mandrake (with their rescue mode), I got this: /dev/ram3 doesn't have any corresponding BIOS drive I think, this should be hidden (maybe it is a grub problem?) Hope that helps, Steve ___ Bug

Is it possible for a boot loader to fix/patch the pc-bios to get rid of stupid 1024 cylinder bios limit once and for all !!!

Suggestion for addition to GRUB Manual

I eventually discovered that I must install GRUB with the image disk installed as hd0, so of course it had to be installed from a GRUB floppy. Now I know that, the process is very simple. Its probably obvious to you, and maybe its somewhere in the manual, but I didn't find it. Hope this is of some use.
