sorry, the bug got posted before it was ready. Here is a correct one.
I own a MacBook, a new model
I tried to follow the instructions in
http://grub.enbug.org/TestingOnMacbook
and
http://grub.enbug.org/TestingOnEFI
using GRUB2 1.96 and rEFIt
Follow-up Comment #2, bug #26229 (project grub):
The 1.96 release is over one year old. Don't use it.
Why can't you compile the SVN version?
Maybe you're trying to load a 32bit version with 64bit EFI or vice versa.
