I have an Inspiron 14z, A10 BIOS Rev. Using Arch Linux, Grub version 2.00-1
from stable Arch repos.
I've managed to surpass the hang using GRUB_GFXMODE=text. I don't know if this
is related to the hybrid graphics configuration of this model, or

I've tested it now under BZR revision 4820 (Most recent revisions have a
problem with arg-nonnull.h that is not included more in build-aux directory),
compiled, installed, and successfully booted Arch. At least, the boot problem
is solved now. But
