Hello there, I read the TODO list and found these lines: ======= * Add CDROM-chainloading support. It would be enough to support only BIOSes which have bootable-CDROM support (so you may use the "Bootable CDROM" BIOS calls). It is not trivial to support BIOSes without the capability to boot CDROM. ====== Maybe you could refer SmartBootManager programmed by James Su <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> and port the CDROM boot part into GRUB. It's first GPLed boot manager providing CDROM boot support. I love SmartBootManager very much, and James and I tested a lot of boot loaders/managers and found SBM/GRUB/LILO were wonderful. I went through the documentation with GRUB and found GRUB great. SBM has some other great features and I'm sure that it could help GRUB if you really read the assembly code lines in SBM. SBM could be downloaded following with this URL: http://btmgr.gnuchina.org or http://www.gnuchina.org/~suzhe Also could be downloaded via searching within freshmeat.net. I do really want GRUB add the CDROM-chainloading support. :) Best reguards Mendel L Chan Feb 10, 2001 _______________________________________________ Bug-grub mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-grub
