I created some partions and checked them in grub console, now it seems grub can detect the right device size but can not handle partitions on the other side of the 128GB border.
peter@mediondt:~$ LANG=C sudo fdisk -l /dev/sdb
Disk /dev/sdb: 931.5 GiB, 1000170586112 bytes, 1953458176 sectors
D
I did ls -l and get the following results:
hd0: size 976729088 KiB (USB)
hd1: size 976762584 KiB (internal)
Both have 1TB so this seems to be okay, right?
Which tests can I do further?
Which fdisk is best to use? Normally I prefer Gparted.
Any idea?
Best regards,
Peter

You mean doing "ls -l" in a booted Linux?
Accessing the disk from within Linux is not the problem.
I installed Linux(Ubuntu/Manjaro/Arch) some times to this disk and all wents good. But at boot time grub2 is not be able to detect/connect to the installed system.
Grub2 itself does not provide
