Subject: reinstalling Grub
Hello,
I use double booting for Suse Linux 10.1 and XP Pro managed by GRUB. Each of
the 2 OS is on a different hard drive. hdb1 is running XP and hdb2 Linux.
I recently ad to reinstall XP
e "setup (hd0) (hd0,0)" where (hd0,0) means /dev/hda1. There the

Is there a document you can point me to regarding
reinstalling grub after installing Windows 2000 on hda2 where hda1 is the /boot
partition or will /sbin/grub-install /dev/hda reinstate grub?

I recently installed Red Hat Linux 7.3 as an upgrade to Red Hat
Linux 7.0 and because of familiarity with the problems LILO had
with Windows NT (particularly with Windows-2000 Pro) and no
experience with GRUB put the GRUB boot loader over on /dev/hdb1
[ (hd1, 0) in GRUB p
I've installed grub into my system to boot Mandrake Linux 7.1 and
Windows Me; now I've reinstalled Windows Me and I'm not able to reinstal
Grub for the multiboot. My hard disk is partitioned in this mode:
1) First partition: Windows Me
2) Second partition: Windows data (over 1024 cylinder!!)
