Hi,

I apologize in advance, because I am shure that my problem isn't a
grub-bug, so this posting is somewhat out of topic for this list - but I
dont now where else to answer.

I'm using grub-0.90.

I wanted to create a GRUB boot floppy, so I did:

        # dd if=stage1 of=/dev/fd0 bs=512 count=1
        1+0 records in
        1+0 records out
        # dd if=stage2 of=/dev/fd0 bs=512 seek=1
        211+1 records in
        211+1 records out

212+1 record - so there should be enough space on an 1,44 MB floppy.

However, when I try to boot using this floppy, I get this:

'GRUB Loading stage2Geom error'

and it all stops here.
I also tried to install grub using grub-install and got something like:

'No Bios drive corresponding to fd0'

Any ideas?
Gerd
