I'm running nautilus@42.2 and it shows thumbnails for at least JPEG and
PNG images.
This is on a rather recent Guix System installation:

Ni! Same thing at 42.4. (Just adding my e-mail address in case any news get
posted.) .~´
Strange behavior. To get thumbnail of each and every image file, I have to do
the following:
1. Right-click on that image file, click on Open With Other Application and
Open the image with GIMP (or maybe other program).
2. Then the same way chose Image Viewer back.
Just throwing my name in the hat of "people who have never had
thumbnails in GNOME". I installed the Guix System probably 4 months
ago.

I can reproduce.
Note that I've managed to get _some_ thumbnails when I first logged in.
Now the thumbnail generation seems to be completely gone.
Any clue what's happening, anyone? Has this ever worked before?

GNOME Files (nautilus) does not display thumbnails of files like images,
videos, and other files that usually have thumbnails. This makes it hard to

## Steps to reproduce
1. Start GNOME Files.
2. Make sure that "GNOME Files → Preferences → Search
