This _may_ be a feature, but it looks confusing to me:
There's an fis in parenthesis, followed by an f. The f has no natural
sign, so if I were sight-reading, I wouldn't know if it was supposed to
be f or f#.

hmm, using te LaTeX code results in the printed out LaTeX code with ij
still missing :-(
I tried without the accented character (setting title = 'T as Freijor,
and still the ij is missing in the output as shown in the attached
image. Didn't try the UTF-8 version yet.

What text editor and pdf viewer are you using? As I have two machines
running (both WinXP, a third running Win2k I'll try later) I wonder that
