the proper solution is to remove these checks altogether. mftrace
(detected at configure time) is required for building LilyPond.

For some reason, LilyPond's Postscript backend sets the paper weight
to 80g/m^2. I think LilyPond should probably use the dummy value (0)
for weight, or if not should let the user choose it.
