cannot force rests to middle of staff in polyphonic music (ver 2.8.1)

Hello, I am running version 2.8.1 on WinXP and have a minor bug to report. When using polyphonic music on a single staff, you cannot force the rests to go to the middle of the staff. Here's a sample ly-file that shows the problem: \version "2.8.1" \relative c'' { << { b4\rest b4\rest b2\rest

This code works as expected: \version "2.8.1" \relative c'' { c8. d16 e8 f \times 2/3 { c8. d16 e8 } } This code places the partial beam for the sixteenth note in the tuplet on the wrong side of the stem. (It's the correct side for the flag when unbeamed). \version "2.8.1" \relative c'
