Hi,
I think the correct abbreviaton for decrescendo is decresc.
and not decr. as \setTextDecresc writes it.
Hmm. Do you have a reference or something? The only text I can find at
the moment is dim. I'm honestly not sure if it's supposed to be decr.

In addition to the success I previously reported with a clean install
of fink, it is now also possible, if rather involved to compile
Lilypond using
MacPorts. It goes like
I would be surprised if there is an abbreviation standard enough to
state that others are wrong, or even substandard. I don't see any
solution except for picking one and making it as easy as possible to
change it if desired.

book shelf:
- Essential Dictionary if Music Notation (Alfred Publishing),
- Noter by B. Tyboni (in Swedish, but fairly authoritative
as far as I can judge)

I'm new to LilyPond, but I've noticed that the binary I have installed on
Windows Vista is extremely slow. I've poked around on the bug report archive
trying to find a solution to my problem, and none has presented itself. When I
call LilyPond slow, I mean that it takes a good 1-3
In my .ly files with 2.11.35-2 the letters with accents (éèâÔ) in the lyrics
and standalone markups are replaced by a space.
It was correct in the previous lilypond versions 2.11.34 2.10 2.8 2.7.
