I think what OP was referring to is that two ties are placed on top of each other (it looks a bit thicker). Perhaps something like the following would be preferable. -William \version "2.24.2" \relative { \override Score.SpacingSpanner.shortest-duration-space = #3 q } On 12/25/23 18:00,

> Do you mean without the override?  With the override, the ties look fine. Hi Knute, Note how there only seem to be five ties for six notes. If you zoom in on the second-highest "tie" at a higher resolution, you'll see it's actually two ties almost wholly overlapping.
