Also, a workaround for this problem is to override 'baseline-skip. I
modified your LY file to make the example more compact. See the
attached files.
Thanks,

All 3 columns in the Khmer example below have a different height.
The latest version tested was 2.13.23-1.
The font selected in the first example is a Microsoft font, but any Khmer

Sometimes Lilypond does not select the correct font. It seems to have to do
either with the length of the font name or the number of spaces in the font

The vertical spacing of Lilypond works amzingly well when you have only one set

However, when I moved to using markup text instead of using the header, Lilypond
often does not succeed to use the vertical space vcery well. Even if the markup

Do you really use such an old version of LilyPond. My first
recommendation is to upgrade to the latest 2.10 or 2.11 (development
but soon to be the next stable) version

Hi there,
Greetings from Melbourne!
I am creating a hymnbook in Khmer/Cambodian.
I am currently using legacy fonts with all associated problems.
I would like to use real unicode, but the rendering of lilypond is not
quite correct yet.
The precise problem is the rendering

At least since version 2.6.5 the title font (.Mondulkiri A) in the
override command is not used, but the \override LyricText font
(.Mondulkiri A Khan) is being used instead. I wonder whether that
has to do with the spaces in the font names? Or is the mistake mine?
Cheers,

The font in the override is not used to render the text, but a default
font instead.
This worked fine in 2.6.5
