It is reported that sometimes installing the tetex-extra
package solves installation problems.

I'm trying to build 2.1.35 from the source package.
I get the following error:
make[2]: *** No rule to make target
`/netrel/build/lilypond-2.1.35//python/out/lilylib.pyc', needed by

I think this problem has been on the list years ago, but it seems to be
present now, too.
I have just had printed a musical piece with a professional PostScript film
imagesetter (Heidelberg Primesetter) in 2540 dpi.
The staff lines are much longer than appropriate, so it is ugly when printed
with
For me it appears that the width of the staff line that is printed after the
barline is almost exactly 1/72 inch.
Perhaps this helps.
