try using ly2dvi instead of (la)tex.

from this are a bit too cryptic IMHO, and include a
few programming error messages (which, if I got it right, are not supposed
to occur in a BugFree program).
Thanks for a great program. It's great to feel that the only bugs I can find
are as irrelevant as these :-)
