I've been using Finale Notepad, 2000 version, for the past six years or so and am interested in moving from Windows 98 to an open source operating system. I am interested in using Lilypond and am hoping to import my finale notepad files into the Lilypond program for further editing and printing.
Two questions: Since I am not a programmer and cannot fix bugs should I resist the urge to try Lilypond? Can finale notepad files be easily imported into Lilypad? Thank you for your help.
