Then what do you think "Exec format error" means? I figured that either he's trying to run the intel version, or the download was corrupted somehow. Trying to run the wrong version of lilypond is the most common mistake for OSX PPC users, so it fits. If the problem was a corrupted download, then

I've the directions in the first LilyPond file but I get this error message (An unexpected error has occurred:(OSError: [Errno 8] Exec format error) when I give the Typeset File command. I am running a PowerBook G4 with a PowerPC chip and OS X 10.4.11. Any help would be appreciated. Regards, Gil
