When I use a choirstaff, the pretty choir-bracket that groups the staves into a
system (what's it called, anyway?) overlaps with the measure numbers. In this
example, it's measure number 7; but it holds for any number and digit.

If you read the section on bar numbers in the manual, you will notice
that this is a well-known bug with well-known workarounds (if you can't
work out the details yourself, you can find lots of examples in the
