I was using the Make utility (version 3.79.1) for a build process in a project.
I faced some problems in invoking the Tasking compiler with certain flags.

This is a problem in your code. It has nothing to do with GNU make.
Offhand I'd say someone emailed you that file and either when they sent
it or when you saved it, it got corrupted; it looks like there are a
bunch of extra backslashes inserted into the file.
Anyway, as I say, this has nothing
