No idea. This seems more like a shell issue, and anyway I know next to
nothing about Windows environments (and I'd like to keep it that way :).
I'd ask the Cygnus folks.
By the way, I know that Cygwin comes with its own port of GNU make, they
don't use the code distributed in the GNU make tarfi
ure for this?

I found two problems. The attached files are just for the
first problem
1) make reports "nothing to make" even though the target
has changed. Same test works fine on Solaris.
