Hi Mahlon, Thanks for the report, but ... The documentation is ambiguous at best Which is intentional, here and in plenty of other cases. I can't (don't want to) explicitly and completely define the result of every command in every context in the Texinfo manual. That's not its purpose.

'h' brings up a help list. It should prompt new users to hit 'H' which brings the user to the Help-Small-Screen node. Thanks for the report. In the next release h in standalone Info will once again start the tutorial, same as Emacs Info. Best, Karl
