this is also no longer necessary in 2.2.6 and later -- valid-user is accepted
without marking authnz_ldap non-authoritative.

You can either apply the cited apr patch to the bundled apr before building
httpd, or in case you are not using a system apr you can apply the following

Use the mailing list. Your strace doesn't capture any of apache (-f) and the
messages should not be construed as missing files/permissions. Finally, include
your errorlog
