http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=13573 User "nobody" required, even when User directive and --server-uid set to another. Summary: User "nobody" required, even when User directive and -- server-uid set to another. Product: Apache httpd-1.3 Version: HEAD Platform: PC OS/Version: FreeBSD Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: Other Component: core AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] I was getting the error "httpd: bad user name nobody". The user/group specified during compile, and in the configuraion file was "www". I even tried passing the "User" directive to httpd at the comand line. Creating the user "nobody" allowed httpd to boot, and child processes were passed to the user "www" correctly. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
