I had a look at that thread again, and it appears I'm not gonna grow hair anytime soon. There is finally hope! The ld.so fix in libexec/ld.so/powerpc/ldasm.S r1.22 seems to solve the issue here.

The problem is still here on -current. OpenBSD 5.1 (just before the switch to rthreads) works nicely, though. A very reproduceable way of seeing this crash is to launch fw_update on -current, now that Perl has threads enabled. It always segfaults at startup. Any BW G3 user to confirm
