We are looking for an individual with all-around experience in administration, user management, replication, query optimization, and operations. Positive attitude, outstanding communications skills are a must. Requirements: § 7+ years of database administration experience § Expert knowledge of MySQL 5+ § Extensive performance tuning and troubleshooting experience § Knowledge of setting up MySQL database infrastructure (including clusters) § Experience with working within a fast-paced web development environment § Experience with MySQL Replication § Experience with operational analysis tools such as Spotlight § Proficiency in programming stored procedures § Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent MySQL DBA Responsibilities Plan, organize, and coordinate upgrading of MySQL server software and related products. 32bit to 64bit OS upgrade >From MySQL 5.0.9x to current GA version Oversight of the current Database design and implementation. Work with development teams in driving database centric solutions and changes Manage and perform database change management tasks in support of projects and maintenance efforts from Test thru production deployment. Implement, maintain and monitor database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges). Manage database tuning and performance monitoring. Monitor and manage application data dependent upon replicated transaction data. Application tuning and performance monitoring.
