He or She must have enough experience to manage Project Management expectations around Scope. (Push back when needed). The client needs someone with experience in advising (consulting roles) with their customers Requirements: · Must have 5-8 yrs Security Technologies Security SME evaluating customers’ strategic business issues, identify requirements, create business case justifications, and propose appropriate enterprise solutions such as : · Must have Extensive experience with SourceFire IPS o Must have Large/Global Enterprise deployment with good networking knowledge and experience: o Configured and maintained multiple Sourcefire sensors for customer environment o Validated current signature sets against SF policies and made adjustments as needed o Tuned out noisy traffic and built custom fragmentation/reassembly policies o Used open source security tools to validate and test current sensor deployment o Advised customer on correct sensor placement for maximum visibility o Trained end users on sensor policies, rule creation and testing o Advised customer of traffic that should be monitored and correlated within their SIEM tools o Analyzing and creating packet captures to test all areas of Snort/Sourcefire products · SourceFire Certified Professional v5.1 (SFCP)- HUGE PLUS · Knowledge of IDS products (Enterasys Dragon,, Sourcefire/Snort, IntraShield, ISS Proventia, Cisco IPS) helpful · Performed Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization. · Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be strong and effective communicator. · Good writing skills and ability to multi task in the support of this project.
