*Job Title : Sr. SQL DBALocation : El Segundo,CADuration : 6+Months ContractEducation and Experience :* Senior DBA with 10+ year’s experience as SQL database administrator. Production support experience maintaining highly available databases. Hands-on experience in refreshing, patching, backup and recovery of SQL databases. Hands-on experience in design, configuration and installation of SQL databases in a MS cluster. Extensive experience with Backup and Recovery using SQL backup & realistic Disaster Recovery planning. Expert at performance tuning and expert troubleshooting and diagnostic skills; query/index optimization; partitioning schemes. Experience with all recent Windows OS versions Understand the .NET platform and how it interacts with SQL server databases from application perspective Experience with database design and architecture a must. Experience with transactional processing, data warehousing & data mining. Working knowledge of EIM concepts i.e. Data Governance, Master Data Management, Metadata Management. Experience with SQL Replication in a high volume environment Space management and database growth capacity management experience required. Strong SQL Application Development experience working with application teams; Expert in TSQL and command line interfaces Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Information Systems or a related area or equivalent experience. Excellent writing and communication skills. Ability to communicate at all levels, technical and nontechnical. Ability to get work done in a team environment. Highly motivated and self-starter.
