*Role : PHP Developer* *Location : Minneapolis, MN* *Duration : 9+ Months* *LOCAL ONLY……..* *Position Overview:* *Responsibilities/Deliverables that the resource will be responsible for:* RESPONSIBILITIES: • Work with internal and external teams on eCommerce web application development • Lead a group of 5 on-shore developers reporting to the Program Mgr and PCM • Technical coordination with external client development leads and project managers • Maintaining existing codebase, to include troubleshooting bugs and adding new features • Manage the development workflow in an Agile methodology • Actively engage with matrixed team members daily to discuss development progress, challenges, needs, and deliverables. • Triage code issues with internal and external teams • Manage code deployments with off-shore team *What would a normal day for this position look like??* Collaborate with internal and external teams on various project types and complexity Lead daily stand-up meetings with the development team Lead bi-weekly iteration planning sessions to break-out sprint work tasks among development team Lead system capacities discussions with key internal stake holders and estimate work effort (hours) Assisting the quality assurance team with defect resolution Work with the Project Manager to escalate issues and align work priorities Coordinate code review and mentor junior developers. *Skills Overview:* *What are the MUST have skills that you are looking for in a candidate?* • 7+ years of PHP or other object orientated code development experience (Java, Ruby on Rails, etc.) • Experience working in cross-functional Agile teams • 5+ years of experience leading development teams of 5 or more • Unit testing and de-bugging knowledge *What are the **NICE TO HAVE** skills that you are looking for in a candidate?* • Experience with LAMP stack, SOAP UI, JS, Beanstalk • Experience configuring Linux environments *What are the technologies and the depth of the technologies that a candidate should have in order to be successful in this role?* 1. SOAP and/or REST service development and integration experience 2. Experience with Beanstalk, SOLR, Symphony 2.0 *What are the soft skills that you feel candidates must-have in order to be successful in this role?* 1. Collaborative and approachable 2. Mentor to others 3. Excellent communication (oral and written) 4. Ability to clearly explain complex details to both technical and non-technical stakeholders 5. Attend meetings and be able to speak to system capabilities and services 6. Self-starter, with the ability to spot problems in the code base and fix/escalate before they become bugs.
