I am definitely interested in MSWE. I LOVE this event!
Could 4 or 5 of us chip in for a motor home, a la, The Red Demon Contest team
at Mustang Island. That would get us out of the skeeters.

Hi all,
a.. BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING will be on Thursday, March 5, 19:00 at the

Cookie,
I would move forward with the request to the Galveston County Board for Ft.
Travis. I know the mosquitoes were really bad but I don’t think there is any
other option at this time. I talked with Bill about the MSWE and he has no
problem with it and Ft. Travis. I know it is on the
I motor home or RV trailer would work just fine. This needs to be looked at

Hi all,
Yes MSWE is on BOD agenda and Ft Travis works and in some ways better. To the
readers of the reflector drop Cookie an email as he needs to get a feel for who
will show and who will help so can possibly set space in the cabanas.I know
most of us are geared for fast approching GHH but
I checked out the link. If we use the catnip oil spray, we will have to put
upwith every cat on the peninsula. I love cats, but only a few at a time.

When i was in the Middle East back in the mid 80s
I had a room with no screen
A store had these mosquito control devices, which plugged into the 220V
outlet and a pellet placed on the hot surface which evaporated over time
and it worked!
Mosquitoes are a safety and health issue! with West Nile

The problem with RVs is that there are no hookups for RVs and no power. We
would need to dry camp with our own power source. Could be done, but I am not
sure how the County would look at it. I can check. Another alternative is
that a 10x10 tent with about 7 ft of head room can be purchased

As I recall ( thats not much these days) the coast guard station provided a
small area for our use. Yacht Basin was as said for car/boat parking. not
provision for comfort. The full restrooms /showers, able to set tents, large
area to set various antennas and use of cabanas won the day at Ft
