The Space Weather Prediction Center says the watch for the effects of this
event extend through today. But the analysis seems to indicate the strongest
effects will be considerably north of here. Read it here...

OK guys, a few facts here:
1) EM radiation (visible light, IR, UV, X/Gamma rays) from
the Sun travel at the speed of light at c = 186,000 miles/sec.,
2) CME are plasma masses which move much slower
at most 1000 miles/sec. which is slower than c, and
3) 48 hours would correspond
