Ham radio operators are getting a buzz -- and pot growers are to blame. Retired
Coast Guard officer Roger Johnson sometimes receives a harsh buzz when he turns
on his amateur radio. The Maine ham says the interference is from the
high-powered lighting used to grow pot. The American Radio Relay League wants
the Federal Communications Commission to crack down on devices that illegally
disrupt radio reception. Johnson worries the problem will get worse following
Maine's legalization of the illegal weed.
