  You may want to try: 
River Oaks Car Stereo ( they install, but repairs may not necessarily be 
accepted- depends on the issue ) - near Joel Osteen's Lakewood Church on 
Richmond & further west 
or 
Any two-way commercial radio shop that is an authorized Vertex repair center. 
They may ask if you have schematics. Yup, Vertex and Yaesu products *can* be 
similar. 
Operator's manuals *just do not count for much*, it needs to include the wiring 
diagram. 
or 
www.qrz.com in the forums section that has "Ham made gear" for a builder who 
also repairs...
