Being under Jaunty, it's not strange that you don't see this bug :) As I
said above, it showed up after recent updates in Debian sqeeze/sid and
probably will be present in Karmic, which will come soon. I remind you
that now it's a time when most Linux distros rapidly change their basic
components.
I forgot to say that middle-clicking on the GMenu applet has the same
effect: canceling doesn't make the dialog hide and it's always there.

I see that you have install our last stable plug-ins (rev 2.1.0) and the core
from Ubuntu repositories (rev 2.0.9).
Either you can install Cairo-Dock from our stable repository (

apt-get dist-upgrade ) or
The first I installed (when I installed karmic) was cairo-dock from the
cairo-dock repos for jaunty and I had no problems, it was working like a charm.
Since a couple of week I have this problem, so I switched to cairo-dock repos
