yep, open the configuration window, go to "advanced mode", and check that the
vertical offset is what it should be (ie 0).
I'm going to close this bug because I think there is no bug in the code here,
however I might be wrong, in which case please feel free to reopen it :-)

Did you try going to the cairo-dog configure and set it to top then
change back to bottom to make sure it was not an Alt+move event that
positioned the dock other than at the bottom of the screen? If you go to
the configure and change from bottom to top then back to bottom again it
should reset you

Does it move to the bottom after a few moment? It's strange. Did you use
Alt+Left click to move it to this place?
