Hi everyone, I've recently found out about CakePHP and fell in love immediately! I went through a tutorial (IBM) and not I just can't wait to start creating great apps on my own (privately and on the job).
BUT, since I'm new, I'd like to create a "learning" project, a CMS of a kind, that I could use for my personal site. My problem is that I am still not familiar enough with some concepts inside Cake, like how to use plugins, behaviours etc.. I thought maybe someone here has a good link, a tutorial or _something_ to point me in the right direction. My CMS would only need page management ("articles") and probably some sort of downloads management (software downloads). I'd like to keep it as simple as possible, page header-menu-content-footer type of layout, no "fancy stuff". Would you say that I don't need a tutorial as such and that I can learn how to use Cake just by playing around? (I have experience with PHP, ASP.NET, C# etc. so I'm not a complete beginner). Any comment is appreciated! Cheers, dr. H. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Cake PHP" group.
