A follow up for others in this situation: I contacted my helpful webhost. He can run 'bake' and 'acl.php' when logged in as root, but my 'jailed' SSH command line for my site will not allow my user 'out' to access mysql. My webhost says there is no fix for this. I don't know how to recompile acl.p
