CakePHP webroot strange core.* files

Hi, I noticed lately that when I have enabled uploads to an application using cakephp 1.2, I get some strange files at the webroot named core. 12345, core.23464 etc of size about 40mb. Is this a normal cakephp behaviour? How can I stop this ? --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~
