im sure there is a very simple solution to this but,
is there an easy way to remove the trailing slash from the domain name
on the cake install.
i have mod rewrite enabled.
the domain in question is www.penistone-advertiser.co.uk
when i type this in it redirects me to

that doesn't do this?
Please note I am talking about top level domains here, not folder
names (which are done with a redirect).
There shouldn't be any seo effect either.
