The syntax of asserts are almost same in two cases.
Probably in Core Tests will change only the parent class, App Tests uses the
CakeTestCase class.

anymore.
For the moment, CakePHP is compatible with both PHP 4 and PHP 5...
So for now I guess SimpleTest is the way to go.
