                             Danish Apple Cake

      1/2           cup  all-purpose flour
   1           teaspoon  baking powder
      1/8      teaspoon  salt
      1/4           cup  sugar
      1/2      teaspoon  cinnamon
   1                cup  chopped apples
   1                     egg -- slightly beaten
      1/2           cup  chopped pecans
                         whipped cream -- optional

Sift  together flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and cinnamon; add egg,
apples and nuts.  Pour batter into greased 8" square baking pan.   Bake
at 350°F. for 30-40 minutes.  Serve with dollop of whipped cream, if
desired.
