Well, I figured out enough to get myself going and it seems worth posting this
for sake of closing the loop. I had just installed python 2.7 and it seems
that setuptools needs to be added to that package - it's not automatically in

In reading my own last note, I see that my original problem was likely
because of some error in my caldavd-dev.plist file. Perhaps there's been a
change in the structure of that, or I somehow managed to create an error of
some sort by adding an invalid line. Either way, I can go back and fix that
Hello all -
I suffered a setback today. I had to restart DCS and when I did, things went
awry. I was getting the following error when using the "./run" script:

exec python /library/dcs/Twisted/bin/twistd -n caldav -f

Guy -
It's been a couple of months since you did this, but if it's still fresh enough
in your mind... do you know what the differences would be between your guide
and installing DCS 3 on a Mac running it's native UNIX (as found in 10.6.3 -
maybe going to Snow Leopard 10.6.4 soon...)?
Thanks!

I just upgraded to SL from Leopard and I am having a bear of a time getting
Calendar Server running again.
In an effort to resolve my issues, I have deleted my old install and

issues, but I'll start a new thread.
Thanks for the speedy
