If we can build XHR2 on top of what's there for FileTransfer then that
might be best case -- we would probably have to add things like abort
to FileTransfer then anyhow.

I can definitely add a "-v" flag and make sure that the messages display

Hi guys,
I did not want to mess with the current client tools for Android so I
created a new create script and called it create2.
The advantages of my script compared to the current one:
- It's only one script. It doesn't use a hidden .cordova directory and

How about a compromise: slate use of XHR2 as the way to do it for 2.0 or
2.x (documentation issue) and then fill in anything missing on
FileTransfer. This way both approaches work, existing apps don't have a
migration headache, and we can deprecate FileTransfer in 2.x and slate it
for removal in 3.

It seems that Qt 5 alpha is no longer buildable with some of the current
modules in git. If you can afford to wait a bit, you might want to hold
off and try again when the Qt 5 alpha 2 (if there is one) or Qt 5 beta
release comes out.

Thank you Jeff for your hint. Thought I would have a way without
compiling Qt5 on my own. So, I have followed the instructions:
unfortunately qt5 does not compile on my computer:

Right and since 90% of the Android phones don't support XHR2 we'd need to

Or we could just add an abort method to the already working/tested

FYI, Android and BB (in 1.8) implement a setVolume() API on the Media
object. Specify a value between 0.0 and 1.0:
media.setVolume('0.5');
One deficiency is that there is not currently a corresponding
getVolume() implemented.
