I generally ask for smooth tunes with long (8 beat) phrasing at a moderate
tempo if the band doesn't know the tune. I sometimes bring a few copies of the
sheet music just in case the musicians are brave and/or talented enough to give

The other SharedWeight lists are fairly low traffic, but there is something
that people can do about that. The more people ask questions, the more the
members of the list remember that it’s there as a resource and the more
