Ron is alwasy tweaking his dances as he finds needed. LOL. I
I believe the correct title for the dance described below by Laur
is "Mange Tak" (not "Mange Talk", "Mongatack", or "Manga Tok").
That's how it's spelled in the 2009 RPDLW syllabus
http://www.library.unh.edu/special/forms/rpdlw/syllabus2009.pdf
It's the correct spelling for "many thanks" in

Found an unlined 3x5 card in my deck with this dance written in pencil in
mysterious, shaky handwriting. The card has the title Late in the Evening,
though I have no idea if that's the actual title. Attributions, anyone?

I wrote to Jim Kitch and he confirmed that the dance is indeed "Spare Parts"
as Will Mentor indicated. I'm posting a part of Jim's reply below because I
thought his comments on R&L through interesting.

This dance really looks like Spare Parts by Jim Kitch. The only
difference - in Spare Parts instead of a Right & Left Through the
choreography calls for Pass Through/Cal Twirl.

We have a dance that is very similar to Bob Isaac's "The Judge", but which
appears to pre-date it. The main difference is in A2: the diagonals are on
different directions and the order of the moves is reversed. Just interested
to know if anyone can identify the Mystery one. I've listed both below.
Actually before the allemande, you're standing with your partner in your
right hand, so the gents are facing the right way and the ladies are
facing the wrong way. After the allemande, you're both facing the same
way and ready to walk forward to a new wave. Without needing to say

This dance looks like a lot of fun, and I'm going to try it.
At first glance (without working it through via Smurf toys), it looks to me
like the first turn of the wave makes folks face the "wrong way" up or down the
set, with the Ladies Al-L 1/2 in the A2 turning them back in the direction of

Hi Jack,
I think there is a problem with the
progression in the mystery dance. The partner
swing is on the ladies side, so B2 leaves people
on the wrong side. Using a B2: Gents Allemand Left
