Just went through the archives and from 2000 I see that Gene Johnson
wrestled with the giant Pacific Optical 3" F4.5 lens.

If you mean mine with the 47mm F5.6 SA, then the lens focuses via the helix
focusing mount. Sorry if that wasn't clear in the page
